Kimberly Kratz was appointed to the Middletown Township Committee in September 2021, elected in November 2021, and began her term in 2022.
Committeewoman Kratz has been a member of the Middletown Municipal Drug Alliance for nine years and is now a Chairperson. The Alliance works through education and awareness to prevent substance abuse, underage drinking, vaping, and other risk behaviors. For the past eight years, she has been helping manage Project Plus, which is an after school drug and alcohol prevention program for children in Middletown. Committeewoman Kratz has also served our community by delivering with Meals on Wheels, teaching CCD, and volunteering at a local food pantry. She also helps families advocate for school services for their children with special needs.
Committeewoman Kratz and her family host a yearly fundraiser, "Middletown Backs the Blue," to aid the Middletown Township Police Department. Within six years, they were able to raise thousands of dollars. Her two teenage sons are Middletown Police Explorers. Her parents have lived in Middletown for 50 years.
Committeewoman Kratz attended public schools and graduated from Monmouth University with a degree in Business Administration. For the past 22 years, Committeewoman Kratz has been the business manager for Kelly & Company Certified Public Accounting firm, which is headquartered in Middletown. She is also a partner with her husband, Willis, at Affordable & Reliable Home Improvements, LLC.
