Mayor Tony Perry Celebrates Earth Day with Nut Swamp Kindergarteners
Mayor Tony Perry started his Friday morning on a positive note by reading to Michelle Michalski-Miles', Elizabeth Mullee's, and Erin Stripto's three kindergarten classes at Nut Swamp Elementary School! Mayor Perry was originally supposed to read there during Read Across America Week, but was unable to at the time. With Earth Day being on Monday, Mayor Perry read the books Compost Stew: An A to Z Recipe for the Earth by Mary McKenna Siddals and The Pout-Pout Fish Cleans Up the Ocean by Deborah Diesen. After reading, Mayor Perry got a tour of the school garden that the kindergarteners help take care of.
