Organization Day Set for

The Township Committee will hold Middletown’s annual reorganization meeting at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2019 in the Courtroom of Town Hall, 1 Kings Highway.
On the agenda will be the swearing in of the 2019 Mayor and Deputy Mayor. Under the Township’s form of government, the Township Committee designates two members to serve as mayor and deputy mayor for a one year term.

In addition, Committeeman Tony Perry will accept the oath of office to serve his first full term. Committeeman Rick Hibell and Committeewoman Patricia Snell will also accept the oath of office to serve their respective one and two year terms.
The Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services officers will also be sworn in.
Lastly, memberships on various Township boards, committees and commissions will be announced. Each group focuses on different aspects of the community and works to enhance Middletown’s quality of life. Residents are appointed to these positions by the Township Committee.

Middletown Township Senior Center Director Patrice Nugent is retiring after a 15-year career with the town. Senior Center staff, Township officials and over 80 seniors celebrated her hard work and dedication during the Pre-New Year's Eve party at the Senior Center this past Thursday, December 27th. Patrice will be greatly missed by her colleagues and many friends at the Center. We wish her a happy and healthy retirement!

Middletown Crossing Guard Spreads Holiday Cheer

Middletown crossing guard Kenneth Barker greets residents at Red Hill Road & Kings Highway during the school week and brings some extra joy when he dresses up as Santa. Barker continued to spread holiday cheer this month when he delivered toys to pediatric cancer hospitals across NJ on behalf of the David's Touch Foundation. This year he helped deliver over 3000 toys! Bringing a smile to others’ faces, especially when times are tough, is really what Christmas spirit is all about. We thank him for being a shining member of our community!

Pothole Repairs on Middletown Lincroft Road on Saturday, December 29th

The Monmouth County Highway Department will be making pothole repairs on Middletown-Lincroft Road in the area of the Middletown Train Station from 7 AM to 9 AM on Saturday, December 29th. Plan alternate routes.

New Jersey Turnpike Authority Begins GSP Interchange 109 Construction Project

On November 1, 2018, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) began a construction project to make improvements to Garden State Parkway Interchange 109 at Newman Springs Road (C.R. 520) in the Lincroft section of Middletown. Motorists are advised to expect delays and plan alternate routes if possible.
