|
On Sunday, Middletown Township partnered with the Sand Hill Indian Historical Association for the first official Middletown America 250 event "Stories 'Round the Campfire". Despite the rain moving the event indoors, local stories and history were still shared inside the Middletown Arts Center's theater. There were also Lenni-Lenape Native American artifacts on display in the gallery provided by both the Monmouth Museum and Middletown resident and Director of the Sand Hill Indian Historical Association, Claire Garland. The Lenni-Lenapes were the original settlers of Middletown Township. Be on the lookout for upcoming events and initiatives as we celebrate America's 250th birthday!
