Following last week's press conference, Middletown and Mayor Tony Perry have continued to lead the discussion on bail reform and the auto theft wave that has struck the state. The Township's concerns have been reported by several media outlets, including Fox & Friends (pictured above), CBS News, News 12 NJ, Sid & Friends In The Morning, The Joe Piscopo Show, and New Jersey 101.5.

Port Monmouth Flood Control Project Public Information Session

Middletown Township Administrator Tony Mercantante and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New York District Project Manager David Gentile address the crowd.

Over 100 community members attended the most recent public information session about the Port Monmouth Flood Control Project on Wednesday evening at VFW Post 2179. Township Administrator Tony Mercantante, along with representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, provided some background information about the project, its current status, and discussed the future of the project which is expected to be completed in 2025. Residents were then invited to ask questions which contributed to a productive conversation and an overall positive event.

Liquivida Celebrates Grand Opening in Middletown

This morning, Mayor Tony Perry joined Liquivida Wellness Center owner Christine Ruggiero and staff at their beautiful facility, located at 1500 NJ-35 Suite 3 in the Kings Commons Shopping Center, to cut the ribbon and officially welcome the business to town. Liquivida is a medical spa center that focuses on health and wellness through a variety of services.

Middletown Veterans Affairs Committee Encourages Community to Attend Four Chaplains Service on 

Sunday, 2/5 at 2 PM

Four Chaplains Service

The Veterans Affairs Committee (VAC) encourages residents to attend the annual Four Chaplains Service on Sunday, February 5th from 2-3 PM at VFW Post 2179 (1 Veterans Lane). The ceremony will honor the four chaplains who selflessly sacrificed their lives to save the troops aboard the U.S.A.T. Dorchester, which was struck by a torpedo during World War II. Please join the VAC in commemorating the four chaplains' unity, bravery, and legacies.

MTPD Hosts Free Car Seat Safety Checkpoint on Wednesday, 2/8 from 2-6 PM at Old Village Fire Company

MTPD Car Seat Safety Checkpoint

Residents are invited to a FREE Car Seat Safety Checkpoint hosted by the Middletown Township Police Department (MTPD) on Wednesday, February 8th at Station 11 Old Village Fire Company (1340 NJ-35) to ensure your child is in the right car seat and that it is installed correctly. The checkpoint will be open from 2-6 PM.

Car seat safety checkpoints are held every second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Please contact Officer Michael Reuter at 732-615-2046 if you have any questions or concerns.

Helicopter Inspecting JCP&L Transmission Lines For Six Weeks


Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) would like to advise the community that Chesapeake Bay Helicopters will be mobilizing to the JCP&L Region to begin performing comprehensive visual inspections (CVIs) on all JCP&L 500kV and 230kV lines. 


These inspections are expected to take approximately six weeks to complete, however, any storm or outage-related patrols could prolong completion.

Join the Middletown Township Public Library (MTPL) on Monday, January 30th as Nicole Kagan, founder of English Connected, shares steps to support your child's writing success in middle school, high school, and beyond! This free program will take place in the MTPL's Computer Lab (55 New Monmouth Road). Registration is not required.

During the presentation, attendees will learn the following: how students can align with their own ideas to express their authentic voices in a clear and powerful way; the ingredients needed to increase student motivation around writing; and why being a good writer leads to success in all areas of life.
