Middletown Day Fall Festival Celebrates All that Makes Community Special

Middletown Day 2022
Leonardo First Aid Squad Ambulance Dedication
Mayor Tony Perry breaks a bottle of champagne to christen Leonardo First Aid & Rescue Squad's new ambulance!

Last Saturday was a beautiful day to celebrate everything that makes Middletown special! Thank you to all our sponsors, volunteers, staff, vendors, nonprofits, entertainers, and attendees for making this year's Middletown Day so much fun! There are many incredible aspects about our annual fall festival, but the best one is our community coming together.

At this year's event, Leonardo First Aid & Rescue Squad held an ambulance dedication with the help of Mayor Tony Perry and the Township Committee. We are proud to welcome this new vehicle, which will help our EMS responders even better assist our residents when they need it the most.

Be sure to save the date for next year's Middletown Day fall festival happening on Saturday, September 23rd!

Elementary Student Receives Tour of New Town Hall: Aspires to be a Police Officer & Mayor!

Mayor Tony Perry and Jack
Mayor Tony Perry and future mayoral candidate Jack Niklinski pose after "talking shop" in the Mayor's Office.

Last week, New Monmouth Elementary third-grade student Jack Niklinski got a personal tour of the new Town Hall and Police Station from Mayor Tony Perry and MTPD Detective Ric Cruz! Before school started this year, Jack's mom emailed Mayor Perry to let him know that her son wants to be a police officer and mayor when he grows up. Jack brought along his two siblings and parents on the tour, where they learned about Middletown's history and what police officers do. Jack even received an exclusive Middletown pin typically only worn by Township Committee members.

We are so proud that our young residents have an interest in local government and law enforcement! Keep chasing your dreams, Jack!

Demolition of Old Town Hall Buildings Begins

Old Town Hall Demolition

Earlier this week, demolition began on one of the old Town Hall buildings that was most recently a boxing gym. Although it is bittersweet, removing this building and the old Town Hall/police station will make way for a large parking lot for our new municipal complex. We are grateful for the memories we made in the old buildings and are looking forward to our upcoming improvements!
