Middletown Hosts Government Leaders Across Monmouth County to Address Auto Thefts
In response to the ongoing auto thefts across Monmouth County, leaders from different levels of government held a press conference earlier this week outside the Middletown Township Police Department at the new Town Hall (1 Kings Highway).
Mayor Tony Perry kicked off the press conference by stressing how public safety must continue to be the number one priority for leaders up and down the State of New Jersey. This year, 158 vehicles have been stolen in Monmouth County, and there has been an increase of over 110 percent of high-end auto thefts, according to the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office.

Middletown Hosts Grand Opening for First Community Garden
On Saturday, April 30th, Middletown officially opened its first community garden at Stevenson Park, located on West Front Street near Shadow Lake!
Mayor Tony Perry and Recycling & Clean Communities Coordinator Jessi Ticino cut the ribbon and opened the garden to the 50 Middletown residents who signed up for a plot. The gardeners wasted no time in getting started on that beautiful spring day by building support for their future produce and getting plants in the ground!
The purpose of the Middletown Township Community Garden is to provide an opportunity for residents to grow organic produce, educate the public on planting food that respects the environment, improve our health and ecosystems, and provide a space where the community can grow and learn from each other. Although all plots are currently reserved, keep an eye out for upcoming seasons! Click HERE to read our press release with more information. Click HERE to watch our TikTok about the grand opening.
