Middletown Emergency Volunteer Incentive Program

About the Program

On September 4, 2024, Mayor Tony Perry and the Middletown Township Committee announced the Middletown Emergency Volunteer Incentive Program, an initiative the Township will be implementing to thank the incredible volunteers who dedicate their time to helping keep our community members healthy and safe.

Benefits include the following:

  • A $10,000 loan for first-time homebuyers (which can be forgiven through volunteer hours)
  • A $500 yearly property tax reimbursement
  • Local fee waivers (including free parking at the Middletown Train Station)

The Township is committed to finding new ways to support and grow our dedicated team of emergency volunteers. The advantages this program offers will not only serve as a token of appreciation for our current Fire, EMS, and OEM volunteers, but will hopefully inspire future generations to get involved.

How to Apply

The program officially launched in January 2025, and the Township is currently accepting interest forms on our website.
