Middletown Recreation, the Middletown Arts Center, and the Middletown Township Education Association held its "eggcellent" annual Eggstravaganza event at the MAC on Saturday, March 24th. Relay for Life of Middletown held its launch event on Wednesday, March 28th at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Members of the community, including Township Committeeman Tony Perry, gathered to learn more about the American Cancer Society and how they are attacking cancer from every angle. They also discussed upcoming fundraisers and how they are preparing for the main relay event that will be held on Saturday, June 9th at Middletown High School North. Middletown Township would like to thank residents who donated items for the Easter Outreach. Because of your generosity, the Social Services Department was able to make twelve food baskets and sixteen Easter baskets
for families in need!

Registration for Middletown Preschool Begins on Monday, 4/2!

*REGISTRATION FOR THE 2018-19 SCHOOL YEAR BEGINS APRIL 2, 2018*

Located at the Tonya Keller Community Center, Middletown Preschool is a preschool playgroup for children ages 18 months to Pre-Kindergarten. The age-appropriate curriculum includes social skills, arts & crafts, stories, music, numbers, letters, shapes, colors, science, sight words, writing skills, physical education and games.

All classes run from September through June. The schedule runs parallel to the Middletown Board of Education schedule.

Please be aware that the age of your child on October 1, 2018 will determine the class he/she will be registered.

Register Now for Middletown Township Summer Camps!

The Middletown Township Recreation Department is gearing up for a fun-filled 2018 summer camp season! Visit www.middletownnj.org/signup to register online. You can register in-person at the Recreation Administrative Offices located inside the Nature Center at Poricy Park, 345 Oak Hill Road. Registration can be made for family members only. Due to the recent snow storm, the Township has extended the deadline for Brush Collection Zones

Reduce Waste - Learn Backyard Composting

Monmouth County has announced its 2018 Backyard Composting schedule for Monmouth County residents.

Learn the how-to’s of reducing your yard and household waste and improving your soil the free 45-minute sessions on Saturday, May 19 at 10 a.m. at Deep Cut Gardens, 352 Red Hill Rd.

The workshops are free, but advance registration is required. To reserve one of the limited seats, call 732-683-8686, ext. 6721 or download the registration form from the recycling section of the County Reclamation Center’s website at www.visitmonmouth.com.

Roadwork on Kings Highway & Church Street

There is significant roadwork being done on Kings Highway and Church Street in preparation of the signalization of the roadway. Kings Highway will have lane shifts in place and Church Street will have intermittent closures between 9am and 4pm from Monday, 4/2 through Friday, 4/6. Detours will be in place to follow. Please plan alternate routes. If you have any questions, contact Traffic at 732-615-2045.
