Despite being postponed, our community was finally able to come together for the Mayor's Challenge and Middletown Day this past Sunday! Thank you to everyone who spent their morning racing the trails of Poricy Park with us at the Mayor's Challenge and then coming to the Great Lawn at Croydon Hall to celebrate everything that makes our town special at Middletown Day.

We're proud to share that all proceeds from the Mayor's Challenge will benefit RallyCap Sports Central New Jersey, a local nonprofit that brings recreational opportunities to children and young adults with special needs while also providing life-changing volunteer opportunities. Middletown Day was also once again fully funded through our wonderful sponsors, vendor registrants, and patrons.

We had a blast at both events and are excited to announce that next year's Middletown Day will take place on Saturday, September 28th!

Both businesses are owned by Jackie DeGroat and run on both love and PAWSitivity. We wish The Dog Barn and Groom all the best!

While it may look appealing to use the skatepark now, the site is still closed and not safe to use since construction continues. Anyone accessing the area for any reason will be considered trespassing so do not enter.

A grand opening will be announced soon!

MAC Guys and Dolls

Guys and Dolls, presented by The MAC Players, is playing at the Middletown Arts Center (36 Church Street) this weekend!

Set in Damon Runyon’s mythical New York City, Guys and Dolls is an oddball romantic comedy. Gambler Nathan Detroit tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck.  Meanwhile, his girlfriend and nightclub performer, Adelaide, laments that they’ve been engaged for fourteen years. Nathan turns to fellow gambler, Sky Masterson, for the dough, and Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary, Sarah Brown, as a result. Guys and Dolls takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafés of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City, but eventually, everyone ends up right where they belong.

FHA 203(k) Loan

Tap into Federal Housing Administration’s 203(k) Program to Help Rehab or Renovate Your Home

If you want to finance the purchase of a home that needs rehabilitation or finance improvements to your current home, the Federal Housing Administration’s (FHA) Section 203(k) Rehabilitation Mortgage Insurance Program (203(k) Program) may be the right choice for you. This program is available through FHA-approved lenders and allows homebuyers to finance the purchase of a home or homeowners to refinance a current mortgage, combining the cost of renovations, repairs, or remodeling into a single loan.

The program permits homebuyers and homeowners to have home repair improvements incorporated into their mortgage. This way you can quickly and easily tap into cash to pay for property repairs or improvements, such as those identified by a home inspector or an FHA appraiser. Those who are buying a home can make it move-in ready by remodeling the kitchen, painting the interior, or purchasing new carpet. Homeowners can make property repairs, improvements, or prepare their home for sale. The 203(k) Program is also often used to rebuild or repair after a natural disaster such as a flood or hurricane. It is also available to HUD-approved non-profit organizations and government agencies.

For more information and resources, check out this pamphlet (PDF).
