Middletown and American Legion Post 338 Host Annual Memorial Day Parade

On Monday, Middletown Township held its annual Memorial Day Parade with American Legion Post 338 to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. The parade followed a route that began at Bayshore Middle School and concluded at American Legion Post 338, where Mayor Tony Perry and American Legion Post 338 Commander Ronald Stark spoke. After the parade ended, community members were encouraged to stay and enjoy lunch. New this year, U.S. Naval Weapons Station Earle invited sailors from USS Cole and USS Oregon to march. Thank you to the many individuals and organizations who participated, including the sailors, Grand Marshal Mark Natale, dignitaries, local Scout troops, Middletown High School North and South marching bands, antique cars, first responders, and community members who lined the streets with patriotism and gratitude for our heroes.
