Get into the Holiday Spirit at Middletown's Annual
Tree Lighting Event on Sunday, 12/4 from 5 - 7 PM

Holiday Concert Begins at 4 PM

Look who's coming to town! Catch Middletown Recreation's and the MAC's (36 Church Street) Christmas Tree Lighting on Sunday, December 4th! This festive event will begin with a special holiday concert from the B Naturals and Thorne Band inside the MAC's theater at 4 PM.

The tree lighting festivities will begin at 5 PM. Bring the whole family to get a photo with Santa, take a horse-drawn wagon ride, enjoy crafts, watch our ice sculptor, and more! There will be a
FREE giveaway to the first 300 children.

Middletown Community Affairs Council and Public School District to Host Business Networking Event for Juniors and Seniors at the MAC on Tuesday, 12/6

Business Meet and Greet

Juniors and seniors enrolled at Middletown High School North or South are invited to a meet & greet at the Middletown Arts Center (36 Church Street) to network with professionals, explore different fields, and learn about career opportunities!

This event will be hosted by the Middletown Township Public School District and Middletown Community Affairs Council on Tuesday, December 6th at 6:30 PM.

Many prominent local businesses are committed to participating, including Voyant, Molly Pitcher and Oyster Point Hotels, the Visiting Nurse Association of New Jersey, Stillitano Consulting LLC, Red Bank Wealth Management, Automated Building Controls, and professionals representing law, real estate, land surveying & more.

Township Committee to Host Meeting on Monday, 12/5 at 7 PM


The Middletown Township Committee Workshop Meeting will be held on Monday, December 5th at 7:00 PM in the courtroom at Town Hall (1 Kings Highway). The meeting is open to the public.

The meeting will also be made available to watch or listen to by visiting
www.middletownnj.org/tcmeeting. To call in to the meeting, dial 1-408-418-9388. The event access code is 2345 141 3350
followed by #. Enter 2022 if a passcode is required.

Prior to the Township Committee Meeting, the event link will be published on the Township’s
Facebook page. The recording of the meeting will be aired on the Township’s TV channel (Verizon FiOS Channel 26/Comcast Cable Channel 20) and YouTube channel.

Mayor Perry Speaks with Comcast Newsmakers about Flood Mitigation Efforts and Increased Auto Thefts



Mayor Tony Perry recently sat down with Comcast Newsmakers host Jill Horner to discuss the steps the Township has taken to better control flooding since Superstorm Sandy hit our area 10 years ago. He also spoke about the challenges local communities have faced due to increased car thefts.

Earlier this week, Girl Scout Daisy Troop 266 stopped by Town Hall to tour the new building and meet with Mayor Tony Perry. The Daisies visited the Mayor's Office and conference room where they learned about Middletown's history and asked
lots of great questions!

Many Middletown residents and alumni celebrated Thanksgiving morning at the annual High School North and South football game! The weather was beautiful and Mayor Perry was thrilled to kick off the game with the annual coin toss. Congratulations to High School South on its 27-10 victory!

After the mass, Mayor Perry publicly recognized Joan for being such a wonderful member of our community.


Last weekend, St. Augustine's Monastery in Belford held a mass in celebration of Joan Carroll's 90th birthday. Joan is a longtime resident and former president of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas' local chapter.

Joan was also a sponsor for some local priests during their seminary studies and managed fundraising for former U.S. Vice President Nelson Rockefeller.

Residents are already dropping off toys at the Police Station. Stop by today to donate!

Middletown PBA 124 is currently accepting unwrapped toys for its "Stuff a Cruiser Toy Drive" at the following locations:

  • Middletown Township Police Department
    (1 Kings Highway, main lobby)

  • Junction Barbers (900 Main Street)

  • Twin Lights Brewing (4057 Asbury Avenue, Tinton Falls)

  • Taliercio's Gourmet Deli (544 NJ-35)

  • Sebastian's Hair-Em (872 NJ-36)

The toys will be distributed to 180 Turning Lives Around, Jason's Dreams for Kids, and Middletown Helps Its Own.


Middletown PBA 124 will also be getting some of our youngest residents to help out by taking students from Thorne Middle School to Target so they can pick out toys to donate. The students will then go to Middletown Helps Its Own to assist with packing food.

The deadline to drop off toys is Thursday, December 15th!

Drop One Off by Thursday, 12/15!

Letters to Santa
Let Santa know you've been good this year! Write him a letter and drop it off in one of Middletown Recreation's special mailboxes around town, postage free, and receive a personalized letter directly from Santa to your address!

Please consider donating to the Middletown Arts Center (MAC) when dropping off your letter.
 Mailboxes will be removed on Friday, December 16th.

Experience the beloved holiday classic "It's a Wonderful Life" in a whole new way with Classic Radio Road Show's Live Radio Play! The performance will take place at the MAC (36 Church Street) on Sunday, December 11th at 7 PM. Tickets will be sold at the door for $20 per person, but you can call 732-706-4100 to reserve a seat.

The characters of Bedford Falls will be acted by a handful of talented actors and sound effects will be performed by a Foley artist, manipulating props to create a soundscape. Join the actors after the performance for a “It’s a Wonderful Life“ Trivia Game!
