Croydon Hall Gymnasium Improvements Underway and Ready for Spring Sports Programs
Roof replacement and restoration for the entire building was completed in July 2020.
Following the roof work the interior of the gym was painted.
The bleachers will be a four-tiered system that also features adjustable seat areas along the lower row to provide ADA access when needed. Our bleachers will be gray with black railings.
The new maple floor is down, has been sanded and has received a few clear coats.
The new gymnasium floor at Croydon Hall (900 Leonardville Road) is expected to be complete by the end of March! It will be lined to provide for overlapping full-size basketball and volleyball courts as well as two additional short-sided basketball and volleyball courts. The posts holding volleyball nets will be sleeved into the floor eliminating the need to roll out portable nets each game. Permanent safety pads will be installed on the wall at the north end of the gym and more safety padding will be hung along the stage once the floor is complete. Based on the remaining work items, the gymnasium should be open for use in early April with new bleachers arriving in May.
We are all looking forward to wellness and sporting programs starting up again!
