[ARCHIVED] Middletown DPW Partners with Second Chance Toys

Second Chance Toys Cleanups

Middletown Department of Public Works & Engineering is thrilled to be partnering with Second Chance Toys to not only provide plastic toys to those in need, but also to keep these non-biodegradable items out of landfills. This partnership is part of Middletown’s efforts to increase recycling awareness and provide residents with an easy way to cut down on waste! We have a toy collection bin at the Middletown Recycling Center (52 Kanes Lane).

Second Chance Toys is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and refurbishing plastic toys for donation to local organizations who care for

in-need youth in Monmouth County, around New Jersey, and across the nation. They periodically host events to pick up the toys, inspect them, perform a cleaning, and then begin to distribute them.

To learn more or sign up for a toy-cleaning event, visit www.secondchancetoys.org

The Second Chance Toys collection bin is located at the Middletown Recycling Center (52 Kanes Lane).
