Middletown teamed up with NJNG SaveGreen Project to offer the home energy audit at no cost to income eligible households. This no-cost audit offer is exclusive to Middletown residents. If your household exceeds the income limits, the audit costs approx. $250, but your household is eligible to receive a free Smart Thermostat if you decide to move forward with the energy efficient (EE)upgrades to your home recommended in the audit. Additionally, for all households that decide to make the recommended EE upgrades, 70% of the cost of upgrades are funded by the NJ Clean Energy Program! The household is responsible for only 30% of the cost of upgrades.
