[ARCHIVED] 1/3/18: Winter Storm Update #1

winter weather advisory

A winter storm is predicted to arrive tomorrow morning. We are closely monitoring the weather and will keep you updated on closures & cancellations, garbage and bulk collection, road conditions, and snow plowing and shoveling. Main township roads have already been treated with brine. Salting and sanding will be ongoing.

High winds are expected, so please bring in or secure loose items on your property.

Garbage/bulk collection in the North Zone is still scheduled for tomorrow. Please try to keep your carts on the sidewalk and/or next to the curb to allow the Public Works Department to plow the streets safely.

To report a power outage, please contact JCP&L at 1-888-LIGHTSS (544-4877) or visit their website at https://www.firstenergycorp.com/outages_help/Report_Power_Outages.html. It is important to call and report your outage even if you believe your neighbor has already done so.

In the event of a power outage, the Field House at Croydon Hall will be used as a warming station/shelter.

Please visit www.middletownnj.org for all storm-related updates.
