On Monday August 7th, Monmouth County engineers added additional signage to the project area in advance of the detour. This was done to provide as many travel options as possible to help motorists avoid the congested location.
New Jersey Natural Gas Company is replacing an existing six-inch steel gas distribution main with a new eight-inch plastic gas main. The work being done by New Jersey Natural Gas Company comes on the heels of work that has been completed by the American Water Company.
Hubbard Avenue is being detoured from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday. Weather permitting, the work is anticipated to be completed by the end of August.
The County plans to resurface the road once all of the utility work is completed. The patience of the public is appreciated as the project continues for the next few weeks.
