[ARCHIVED] Online Payment Portal Now Open: Quarterly Property Tax Payment Due 2/1

The next quarterly taxes are due Sun., 2/1. Last day to pay without interest is Tues., 2/10.

The online payment portal is now open for 2026 tax payments. All 2025 delinquent taxes/sewer have gone to tax sale and are now liens. 

If you wish to redeem your lien, please fill out THIS FILLABLE PDF and email it to Tara Mirenda at tmirenda@middletownnj.org

If you have any questions, please call the Tax Collection Office at 732-615-2086. Please note the process for any redemption requests began on January 5, 2026.

Quarterly taxes are due February 1, 2026. There is a 10-day grace period, so the last day to pay without interest is February 10, 2026. Any payment received after 3:45 PM on Tuesday, February 10th either in the Tax Collection Office (1 Kings Highway) or via our online payment portal will be subject to Tax Sale and additional costs and fees. Only certified funds will be accepted after this date. 


HOW TO PAY YOUR TAX BILL


Pay Taxes Online

For your convenience, taxes can be paid online through the Township’s payment portal. Please note there are fees. The fee for all debit and credit card payments will be approximately 2.95% of your total bill. The fee for an e-check is $1.95. Pay online at middletownnj.org/taxpayment. 

The online platform cannot accept partial payments, however they can be made through the office by check.

Make checks payable to the Township of Middletown and mail to:

Pay Taxes By Drop Box

The drop box is located to the right of the front door outside of Town Hall (1 Kings Highway). The drop box is checked every morning at 8:00 AM so if you require same day posting please come into the building. 


Receipts

Remittances requiring a receipt MUST be accompanied by the entire tax bill with a self-addressed stamped envelope. Otherwise, detach the appropriate stub and mail with your check. The canceled check will be your receipt.
