Middletown, NJ – On October 17, 2025 at approximately 10:40 AM, the Middletown Township Police Department (MTPD) responded to the intersection of Locust Point Road and Navesink River Road for a report of a bicyclist struck by a motor vehicle. The person, whose identity is not being released at this time, is an 42-year-old male from Brielle, who was riding his bicycle on Navesink River Road, when he was struck in the intersection of Locust Point Road and Navesink River Road. The person sustained significant, but non-life-threatening injuries and was flown via medivac to Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ.
The driver of the vehicle, a 25-year-old male from Middletown, remained on the scene and is cooperating in the police investigation. There have been no summonses issued at this time.
