Details of Police Activities and Arrest Information

The following media release contains information pertaining to arrests and police activities for the Middletown Twp. Police Department during the time period of July 1, 2023 through July 31, 2023.

During the period of July 1, 2023 through July 31, 2023, the Middletown Twp. Police Department responded to 4,297 calls for service, including 356 EMS calls, 25 Fire Calls, 225 burglar alarms, and 173 motor vehicle crashes. 

Police officers arrested 45 individuals, including 7 for outstanding bench warrants and 9 for domestic violence.  Arrests are as follows:

Charles Schwarz, age 46, from Atlantic Highlands, was arrested by Officer John Mania for unlawful possession of weapons.  Schwarz was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Evan Flores, age 19, from Middletown, was arrested by Sergeant Frank Mazza for contempt of court warrants.  Flores was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

Michelle Coleman, age 51, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Salvatore Albanese for driving under the influence.  Coleman was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Gina Schneitzer, age 52, from Holmdel, was arrested by Officer Dana McQuade for shoplifting.   Schneitzer was processed and released on her own recognizance.  

Kristyn Ryan, age 33, from Staten Island, was arrested by Officer Eric Van Schaack for shoplifting.   Ryan was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Nicholas Encarnacion, age 33, from New York, NY, was arrested by Officer Thomas Stone for a contempt of court warrant.  Encarnacion was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

William Johannessen, age 46, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer John Foy for driving under the influence.  Johannessen was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Shadi Khorram, age 40, from Ocean Township, was arrested by Officer Lawrence Seymour for burglary.  Khorram was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

Michael Bender, age 42, from Highlands, was arrested by Officer Douglas Habermann for criminal mischief, obstructing the law, and disorderly conduct.  Bender was processed and released on a summons complaint.  

Philip Soto, Jr., age 24, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Shane Hosler for a contempt of court warrants and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.   Soto was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Samantha Burke, age 28, from Union Beach, was arrested by Officer Daniel Flannigan for a contempt of court warrant, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Burke was processed and released on a summons complaint.  

Casey Herman, age 21, from Hazlet, was arrested by Officer Allison Ruane for defiant trespass.   Herman was processed and released on a summons complaint.  

Tyet Bui, age 48, from Burke, Virginia, was arrested by Officer Elzbieta Banel for shoplifting.   Bui was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Jeana DiCarlo, age 32, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Michael Masiello for shoplifting.   DiCarlo was processed and released on a summon complaint.

Justine Meadow, age 45, from Atlantic Highlands, was arrested by Officer Elzbieta Banel for driving under the influence.  Meadow was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Taurino Bernardinopelaez, age 33, from Keyport, was arrested by Sergeant Michael Heaton for a contempt of court warrant. Bernardinopelaez was processed and released after posting bail.

Sue Rommell, age 57, from Keansburg, was arrested by Officer Sean Barry for obstructing the law and resisting arrest.  Rommell was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Maria Leonardis-Levy, age 31, from Edison, was arrested by Officer Timothy Walden for shoplifting.  Leonardis-Levy was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Frederick Simzer, age 36, from Hazlet, was arrested by Officer Michael Masiello for a contempt of court warrant, tampering with evidence, obstructing the law, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Simzer was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

William Dublynn, age 41, from Bronx, NY, was arrested by Officer Shane Hosler for shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Dublynn was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

Kostas Markatos, age 46, from Bronx, NY, was arrested by Officer Brian Macdonald for shoplifting.   Markatos was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Joelle Casale, age 41, from Atlantic Highlands, was arrested by Seargeant Frank Mazza for a contempt of court warrant and driving under the influence.  Casale was processed and released.

Uriel Martinez-Vasquez, age 36, from Long Branch, was arrested by Officer Shane Hall for driving under the influence.  Martinez-Vasquez was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Amy Matheny, age 54, from Red Bank, was arrested by Officer Joshua Revette for a contempt of court warrant, defiant trespass, criminal trespass, and shoplifting.   Matheny was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

Anjelica Schaub, age 36, from Keansburg, was arrested by Officer Shane Hall for a contempt of court warrant.  Schaub was processed and released to Union Beach Police Department.

Shane Vanglahn, age 26, from Keansburg, was arrested by Officer Shane Hall for a contempt of court warrant.  Vanglahn was processed and released to Keansburg Police Department. 

A person that has been arrested or charged with an offense is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Additionally, except in specific circumstances, arrest and complaint information and names of those charged may be released.
