Community Development Block Grant Program




The draft FY 2020–2024 Consolidated Plan and 2020 Annual Action Plan has been prepared in accordance with the National Affordable Housing Act of 1990, as amended.

The TOWNSHIP OF MIDDLETOWN FY 2020-2024 FIVE-YEAR CONSOLIDATED PLAN SUBMISSION AND ONE-YEAR ACTION PLAN addresses housing and overall community development needs for all Township residents, and particularly for low-income households and describes activities the Township of Middletown plans to undertake to address the priorities and specific objectives for housing and community development.  In addition, the PLAN identifies the public and private funding sources that will be used to carry out the needs and objectives outlined in the plan.  It also identifies housing and community development projects designed to meet the needs and objectives.  The activities contained in the ONE-YEAR ACTION PLAN will be undertaken during the 2020-2024 consolidated plan period.

The Township will be holding a public hearing to invite public comment and input on the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan and 2020 Annual Action Plan on Wednesday July 15, 2020, 7PM.  Please be advised this will be a web conference public hearing. Please click HERE to access the meeting. 

The five day public comment period begins on July 13, 2020 and ends at midnight on July 17, 2020. The Township will accept comments from the public on this Amendment during this time period.

Home Rehab Grants Available for Homeowners

If you are a Middletown homeowner, you may be eligible for a home rehabilitation grant of up to $25,000 from the Township’s Home Rehabilitation Program funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This program is for low and moderate income households. Call (732) 615-2281.
