Garbage collection is dependant upon location. Residents in the solid waste Collection District pay a garbage tax to receive municipal collection. Residents not located in the district do not pay this tax and must arrange for a private hauler to collect their garbage.

New Recycling & Garbage Collection Company Begins May 1
Central Jersey Waste and Recycling of Ewing, NJ has been awarded a five-year contract as a result of competitive bidding to provide recycling collection throughout the township and solid waste collection in the garbage district. The company will provide the same level of services and maintain current collection schedules. As the new company learns Middletown's collection routes, missed collections could inadvertently occur. Please call Public Works at (732) 615-2008 to report any issues. The new contract takes effect May 1, 2007.
