Curbside Collection Commingled Recyclables: Aluminum and tin cans, plastic bottles and container, and glass bottles and jars will be picked up once a month on your FIRST recycling collection day of the month. Commingled materials placed in rigid metal or plastic receptacles that do not exceed a 32-gallon capacity.

Curbside Collection Paper/Fiber Recyclables: Cardboard, newspapers, mixed office paper, junk mail, cereal boxes, books, etc will be picked up once a month on your SECOND recycling collection of the month. Co-mingled materials placed in rigid metal or plastic receptacles that do not exceed a 32-gallon capacity.

Collection schedules are determined by your election district. The collection schedule for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and proclaimed state or municipal emergency days, ie: snow emergency, is shifted to the next business day.

Kanes Lane Recycling Center
The Township’s Recycling Center is located at 52 Kanes Lane, off Highway 35, in the heart of Middletown. The facility is open to Middletown residents only.

Operating Hours are Thursday through Monday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.,
Closed Tuesdays and Wednesday. Also Closed New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day
