2007 Auxiliary Academy Graduation- Middletown & Hazlet Officers
Our Auxiliary Officers are highly trained volunteers who serve their community in a variety of police related tasks.
During major public events, they augment our regular officers in traffic and crowd control. During times of emergencies or natural disasters, our Auxiliary Officers provide needed supplemental police service to the residents of Middletown Township.
Meetings and training are held on a regular basis. Uniforms and equipment are supplied to all members of the Auxiliary Police.
If you are 18 years of age or older, a Township resident or reside in a bordering town other than Hazlet, and would like to volunteer with the Middletown Township Police Department as an Auxiliary Police Officer, download the Auxiliary Application here or contact Sgt. Darren Schwedes, Special Operations Commander and Coordinator of our Auxiliary Police for more information at (732) 615-2041. Please bring your completed Auxiliary application to Sgt. Darren Schwedes at the Middletown Township Police Department.
