Firearms Permits
Firearms purchaser permit and pistol purchase permit applications are available at the records counter during business hours. The fees are as follows:

Application fee for firearms purchaser identification card (rifles & shotguns):
$5.00 to Township of Middletown

Application fee for permit to purchase handgun:
$2.00 to Township of Middletown

Fingerprint card fee (initial firearms ID card):
$60.25 money order payable to “NJ Division of State Police – S.B.I.

Request for criminal history (change of address on firearms ID card, yellow form SBI 212A):
$18.00 money order payable to “NJ Division of State Police – S.B.I.
