Communications Center
Emergency calls only dial 9-1-1.
For non-emergency calls dial (732) 615-2100.
Our Communications Center is staffed by 15 full time Communications Operators. They handle all calls for Police, Fire, and EMS service, both emergency 9-1-1 calls and non-emergency calls as well. All Communications Operators are trained in both 9-1-1 and Emergency Medical Dispatching, thus being able to provide the caller of a Medical Emergeny with pre-arrival instructions depending on the nature of the Medical call.
Additionally, our Communications Operators handles dispatch for the 11 volunteer Fire Companies and 5 volunteer First Aid/EMS Squads within the Township of Middletown.
In addition, each Communication Operator receives training in the Department's Computer Aided Dispatch System, which is provided by Application Data Systems, Incorporated (ADSi) www.e9.com, enabling each to create Calls for Service and dispatch them either via voice (radio) or over the air to the in car computer, as well as, training in the usage of the National Crime Information System (NCIC) and the New Jersey State Police Garden State Network for connectivity to the National Law Enforcement Telecommunication System (NLETS) located in Phoenix, AZ and the New Jersey Law Enforcement Telecommunication System (NJLETS) and the New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicles (NJDMV). This training allows the Communication Operator to generate the appropriate message or messages as needed to a Police Agency either in New Jersey or Out of State.
