ROAMER - My First Look at Robotics
For boys and girls from the 1st and 2nd Grades.

Meet Roamer, a child friendly robot just waiting to follow your child’s commands. Students will learn to program Roamer to turn, draw, measure and even play games and music. This is a fun class which introduces the children to robotics and programming in an entertaining way.

CRAZY CLAYMATION
For boys and girls from the 3rd and 4th Grades

Clay and Animation - what a perfect combination! Working in teams, students will do it all - from the story to the characters and sets. As they learn the production process, they will animate, record, download, assemble and edit their movies. Fun, learning and excitement go hand-in-hand!

AMUSEMENT Park - LEGO® MINDSTORMS
For boys and girls from the 5TH and 6TH Grades.

What could be more fun than building your own Amusement Park? Using the advanced LEGO Mindstorms systems that interact by infrared beam with our computers, students will build and learn how to program a bumper car, a merry go round, a tour bus and ghost train. Sounds very “amusing”, doesn’t it?!

CHESS PROGRAMS

CHESS INSTRUCTION

Session A will consist of five (5) 45 minute lessons
Weekly chess classes for beginners, novice and those that desire to gain knowledge of the rules and moves in order to be able to appreciate, enjoy and participate in the game of chess. (Class participants will receive a discount when entering a weekly tournament during class sessions)

TEEN ADVENTURE CLUB -2008

This program is designed specifically for Middletown students who will be entering 7th - 10th grades in September of 2008. The program offers participants the opportunity to attend a trip three times a week over the summer months. Those interested in the program must first join as a member of the club. Once a member, a trip list will then be sent. The member has the option to attend whichever trips he/she chooses, and must only pay for those selected trips. All trips will be chaperoned. Trips may include but not limited to: Dorney Park, Hershey Park, Great Adventure, Medieval Times, Waterworks, Morey's Piers, white water rafting, laser tag, mall trips, movies & bowling, a baseball game, Dave & Busters Arcade, a Broadway show.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Program runs from June 23 to August 8, 2008
