Park Rules & Regulations

  1. No person shall cut, deface, injure, remove or disturb any building, fence, bench or other structure, apparatus or property or pick, cut or remove any shrub, tree, bush or flower or mark or write upon any building, fence, bench or other park structure.

  2. Fires permitted in grills only.

  3. Use of abusive or profane language is prohibited.

  4. Disorderly persons are subject to arrest.

  5. All animals must be leashed.

  6. Horseback riding is not permitted except in designated areas.

  7. Firearms or throwing stones or other missiles is prohibited.

  8. Soliciting, selling or offering for sale any goods is permitted only by special permit from the Department of Parks and Recreation.

  9. No persons may consume or possess beer, wine, liquor or other intoxicating substances within any park area.

  10. No person may consume, possess or be under the influence of illegal or dangerous drugs of any kind.

  11. Baseball, softball and golf are permitted in designated areas only.

  12. It is not permissible to hold, conduct or address any public assemblage or to take part in any public debate or discussion without first obtaining a written permit from the Department of Parks and Recreation.

  13. No person shall distribute any circulars, cards or written matter or post, paste, affix any placard, notice or sign within the parks without first obtaining a written permit from the Department of Parks and Recreation.

  14. Grounds will be closed from 10:00 p.m. -7:00 a.m. except where otherwise specified.

  15. Motorized vehicles are restricted to parking lots and roadways. Non-licensed operators and non-registered vehicles are prohibited from all park areas.

  16. Hunting or trapping is prohibited.

  17. Gambling or betting is prohibited.

  18. Dumping or littering is prohibited.

  19. Violation of any of the above is punishable by a fine not to exceed $500 per offense or occasion.

SKATEPARK RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. No skating alone, this facility is NOT supervised.

    This facility is for skateboard and in-line skaters only. Bicycles and motorized vehicles are NOT permitted at any time.

    All users must wear helmets. The use of elbow and knee pads and wrist guards is recommended. All equipment must be worn in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.

    No glass containers are permitted in the skate park area.

    Use of drugs, alcohol, littering, abusive behavior and/or language and vandalism is prohibited. All participants must skate with due care as to avoid accidents or collisions with other skaters. Smoking within the skate park area is prohibited. Shirts must be worn while in the skate park area. Proper shoes must be worn while skateboarding. Skateboarding is prohibited outside of the enclosed Skate park area.

  2. The Department of Parks and Recreation is authorized and empowered to issue such further rules and directives as may be determined appropriate for the safe operation of the facility, and to post appropriate signs.

  3. Any person violating any of the Rules and Regulations, or directives of the Parks and Recreation Department or its officials or police personnel, my be directed to leave the park facility. Persons violating the Rules and Regulations may also be issued a Summons and, upon conviction, may be subject to a fine not exceeding two hundred ($200) dollars. As per township ordinance #1089 as amended 9/15/03.

  4. The above rules and regulations apply to all properties under the jurisdiction of the Middletown Township Department of Parks and Recreation.


Park hours of operation are as follows:

Weekdays:  3p.m.  to Dusk (NO later than 8:00PM)

Saturdays & Sundays: 12:00 noon to 5:00PM

The skateboard facility is also closed to the public when equipment/surface is wet or icy, or when posted as closed.

Use of the facility outside of the permitted hours of operation, or when posted as closed, or during wet or icy conditions is strictly prohibited.
