The Township Committee operates under a special charter approved June 23, 1971. Our township is governed by a five-member Township Committee. The Committee designates one of its members to serve as mayor for a one-year term. The term for each Committee member is three years. The Township Committee supervises the operation of municipal government by establishing policies and programs and appropriating funds.

Mayor Brightbill's Office Hours
Middletown Township Mayor Pamela M. Brightbill holds open office hours at Town Hall, 1 Kings Highway, on the first Wednesday of each month from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Residents are welcomed on a first-come basis to come in and discuss any concerns or issues they may have related to township government. Residents are also invited to share thoughts and ideas about how the township can better serve its citizens at any time by contacting the mayor’s office at 732-615-2024.
