New Vehicle Transfer
All transfers will require a $10. transfer fee. There are various reasons why transfers are requested. Note the following reasons, along with the proper procedure.

A new vehicle is purchased and are awaiting plates and registration from Motor Vehicles: (a temporary permit is issued with a one-month expiration date)

1. Original permit must be returned.
2. Complete a new application
3. Copy of license, Insurance I.D. card, and temporary registration and marker from dealership
4. $10. transfer fee (cash, Visa, Mastercard, or check payable to the Township of Middletown.
5. A temporary permit will be issued with a one-month expiration date.
6. After the new registration is issued from Motor Vehicles, a new application must be completed and a copy of the new registration must be submitted. At that time, a new permanent permit will be issued.
