In 2008, the township developed a Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan which was reviewed and accepted by the Township Committee by resolution. The Recreation Master Plan Steering Committee is charged with conducting in-depth review of plan. They will make recommendations to the Township Committee in regards to implementation of the plan.

The Steering Committee consists of five members. Three residents are appointed to serve on this committee along two township committee members.
