Local Assistance Board
The Local Assistance Board oversees assistance programs provided to residents by the Middletown Social Services Department. Some of their responsibilities include determining the eligibility of applicants and recipients; determining the amount of financial assistance to be received; helping clients obtain an adequate standard of living and to become self-supporting; provide case management; and maintain and protect all records and appropriate documents required by the state.

The Local Assistance Board consists of five members. Four members serve a four-year term and one member serves a one-year term. Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Social Services Office, 900 Leonardville Road. Call 732-615-2085 for more information.
