Community Affairs Council
This Community Affairs Council, which was established in 1966 is an advisory body. Its purpose is to advise, suggest, counsel, research, investigate and recommend to the Township Committee general programs, activities, methods and techniques for the general civic cultural and community betterment of Middletown Township.
Community Affairs organizes an annual job fair for Middletown students looking for employment. Previous projects include the installation "Welcome to Middletown” signs at key points along the township borders, coordination of the Adopt-A-Jughandle program and facilitation of an historic cemetery clean-up.
The council shall be comprised of ten members appointed by the Township Committee. The term of office is one year. Meetings are held at 7:30 p.m.on the first Wednesday of each month at Town Hall Conference Room, 1 Kings Highway. Call 732-615-2014.
